Christmas Miracle #8

Growing up in an unhappy home, Emily found herself looking for love in all the wrong places and ended up in an emotionally abusive and financially unstable relationship. With two young girls in her care, Emily knew she had to leave and create a better life for her family.

Today, Emily is on her way to making things better in subsidized housing. She’s renewed relationships with her family and making new friends, and would like to go back to school towards becoming an ultra-sound technician.

In the process of taking care of herself and her little girls, Emily’s Christmas Miracle would include little furnishings to make her house a home, and a helping hand in creating an enjoyable life for her family.

Christmas Miracle #7

The pain that Kerry endures because of hernia and fibroids have forced her out of her ability to work full-time. Although doctors have provided her care, she hasn’t found a permanent solution to ease her condition and lack of accessing medical care has caused financial strain in Kerry’s ability to provide for her family.

Kerry has fallen behind on her bills, and struggles with emotional stress of taking care of herself and being a single mother of three children. While trying to balance a child with ADHD, a hyperactive child, and giving enough attention to her youngest, Kerry is emotionally strained and finding it all hard to manage.

A Christmas miracle for Kerry would include support in making sure the family is well fed and taken care of. She hopes to find the financial assistance in making sure each child lives a happy and fulfilling life, full of warmth, love, and great memories.

Christmas Miracle #6

Elizabeth works hard to take care of her family. After the birth of her twins the babies father lied to her about a family emergency back home in Africa and took all her money, she was left in debt and struggling to take care of 4 children – which includes her 16 year old son, a 6 year old daughter and 1 year old twins.

Life hasn’t been easy since the twins were born, but Elizabeth is committed to giving all her children her love and the best life possible. Her Christmas Miracle wish list is long… but Elizabeth is a woman with a big heart who just wants the best for her children.

Christmas Miracle #5

Nora was separated from her children when they were still young because she was involved in an abusive relationship. She was lucky enough to reunite with them after walking away from her partner, but they’ve spent years healing themselves from the trauma of their broken family.

Unfortunately, the struggle continues for Nora’s family. Nora, her partner and her oldest son suffer from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder; her other son suffers from ADHD. Nora’s partner is battling hernia and other health issues, and is frustrated that he cannot work to provide for their family. Nora manages her own health issues as well, while trying to take care of three children and her partner.

A Christmas miracle for Nora would be the financial support to make ends meet every month, while getting healthy and providing a safe and positive environment for their family.

Christmas Miracle #4

April has seen too much for any heart to endure.

As a child, she witnessed her entire family killed by genocide. She escaped into the forest for safety… and eventually, she was blessed to find herself in Canada. Though she was filled with hope, April was alone and found comfort in a new acquaintance — only to end up unexpectedly pregnant from sexual assault. Through God’s powers, she found support, love, and a renewed sense of hope in her journey, that’s continued as her little girl grows.

A Christmas Miracle for April would be continued support so she can be a better mother, and take care of her beautiful baby girl.

Christmas Miracle #3

At a young age, Alyssa felt stuck in a relationship fueled by drug addiction and self-medication. She’s spent years moving from one unstable relationship to the next in search of validation, but ultimately facing struggles of depression and emotional stress.

Today, Alyssa has made the decision to take care of her mental health and become a strong, positive role model for her teenager and her baby. A Christmas miracle for Alyssa would include braces for her teenager, a root canal for Alyssa herself, and support towards becoming mentally strong and conquering depression.

Christmas Miracle #2

Brooke is a cancer survivor, and a mother of 4 children. Brooke and her husband have worked hard to make ends meet ever since the birth of their two oldest daughters, but things have only gotten more difficult after the birth of their twins – when Brooke had to replace her full-time job with attending ongoing appointments with her 18 month old son, who faces quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy and is awaiting confirmed diagnosis of other complications.

A Christmas miracle for Brooke and her family would include financial support to take care of her son’s medical appointments and treatments, as well as providing for her other children and allowing them to enjoy the activities that make them smile.

Christmas Miracle #1

Jennifer is a 27 year old woman with who has endured her own battles, and a rough past that includes mental health disorders and drug addictions.

Today, Jennifer is on a path to a better life. She’s currently drug free and pregnant – with twins! While her boyfriend’s support waivers in his own personal struggles, Jennifer has taken initiative to create a better life for her babies. She has accepted God’s encouragement to Christianity, accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. She’s also healing her relationships with her loved ones, and welcoming support from prenatal classes and others with unplanned pregnancies.
Jennifer’s past has been far from perfect, but she hopes to create a valuable life for her twins. While she waits to be placed in subsidized housing, she’s making plans to get her driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to take care of her family.

A Christmas miracle for Jennifer would include furniture and household items for basic living, baby items, equipment and clothing, and transportation assistance.
